Cram is an educational resource that makes it easy to study a variety of subjects through their digital flashcard database. Users can browse over 195 million flashcards or make their own to share! Cram's concept is incredible but the old codebase that was used in the initial build had less to be desired. In order to continue to innovate and expand to new markets, their framework and architecture would need to be rebuilt and millions of assets would need to be migrated over.

In order for Cram to cost effectively expand into new markets, we rebuilt their platform on a modern PHP framework that would allow them to continue development as needed. It required creating a multi-platform architecture, so that they could do business under a new name and language in international markets. We also migrated over the millions of stored flashcards and built a scalable solution for their search and serve. Cram's new service is now capable of creating and processing thousands of flashcards daily and stable enough to host its millions of users. In addition to these enhancements, we worked with Cram on ways to add more value for their users. We built a REST API for mobile apps on Google Play and App Store and incorporated some new learning styles so that customers could study materials using different techniques. Whether through simple memorization, test taking, playing a game, or the scientific based Leitner system, users can now use Cram's resources in the ways most effective for their learning style. By making these changes, the number of users registered and flashcards created has grown and the company has seen a subsequent boost in revenue.
